Field Trip # 1

The first thing she said was, "I wish Carter could've been here! He would've loved that cool lizard!"

This past Tuesday, I was lucky enough to travel with Abby's second grade class to Salisbury, NC on a field trip. Although the activities were a tad unorganized (not the school's fault-the park just wasn't prepared for that amount of kiddos!) we had a great time. We rode a train, pet a bearded dragon, a snake and a turtle. We also visited a gem mine and listened to a geologist give a talk on the kinds of rocks you can find in North Carolina. There was also a petting zoo and the most amazing playground I have ever seen! Neither of which I took any pictures of :(
But I did remember to take a few.... Here are two of my favorites! Field trip #2 takes place this coming Wednesday. Carter's class is heading to Asheboro to the Zoo!! Can't wait!
